What is a Registered Apprenticeship?
A Registered Apprenticeship is an industry-driven, high-quality career pathway where employers can develop and prepare their future workforce, and individuals can obtain paid work experience with a mentor, receive progressive wage increases, classroom instruction, and a portable, nationally-recognized credential. Registered Apprenticeships are industry-vetted and approved and validated by the U.S. Department of Labor or a State Apprenticeship Agency.
You can learn more about the Registered Apprenticeship programs through Apprenticeships.gov.
We have compiled a list of businesses in the Piedmont District of Virginia that have Registered Apprenticeships. They may or may not have any openings, but any openings they have would comply with the requirements of the state of Virginia for Registered Apprenticeships.
Future updates will be posted on the Virginia Works site.
